Outplacement is a service provided by the employer through a third-party supplier (at no cost to the employee) during times of workforce restructuring, layoffs and termination. Organizations that provide outplacement services from companies such as Next Step Outplacement℠, do so for concern for the outplaced employee, as well as the long-term implications of workforce transformation on their employer brand, employee retention, and overall business success.
As recruiters and resume writers, we often receive feedback and stories from discharged employees, employers, references and others.
We recognized that we have the ability to help employers and discharged employees by providing our services earlier in the process. We know that people need to get on the right path in their career journey, the sooner they’ve set a new course and work towards their new objective, the sooner they’ll be productive and happy.
When people understand their career objectives and parameters, they can formulate a destination, a path and strategy to get there. When their resume and actions reflect that strategy, the time needed to reach their destination is reduced.
Our mission is to support employers who want their outplaced employees back on the path to career happiness and success as soon as possible.
We provide the support and tools to move forward. We care and understand...this is at the root of our approach and client engagement. Our experienced recruiters and resume writers will listen, offer empathic-produce-knowledgeable support and coaching.
“This too shall pass.”
Our goal is to turn this situation into a fresh start. It's an opportunity for the person to assess their career - who they are, what they’re good at, what they enjoy, and where they want to be in the future. We help them clarify or find their destination and the path to get there.
“Plan your work and work your plan.”
• All our conversations are 100% Confidential. 100%!
• Let us know how many people are going to be offered the Next Steps package.
• An employer can offer this at any time. Often times Next Steps is presented to the employee at the time of presenting a Separation Agreement.
• Upon employee acceptance, the employer notifies us of the individuals name and contact information. We carefully touch base with the employee and ask them to let us know when they’re ready to talk about next steps.
Once the employee has accepted the offering of "Next Step" services from the employer, the employee may engage us and start the process at their leisure. We will schedule a date/time to meet, and move forward from there. Our approach is individualized based on our feedback from the employee as we move into discussions.
